Solarvest BioEnergy Establishes R&D Agreement With Dalhousie University

Solarvest BioEnergy has established a cooperative Research and Development agreement with Dr. Suzanne Budge at the Canadian Institute of Fisheries Technology at Dalhousie University to assist Solarvest in the characterization of lipids and fatty acids in algae.

"Dr. Budge's team has expertise in the determination of fatty acid and lipid profiles which is very important for all areas of our Company's endeavours. From our short term nutritional oils expression program to our longer term hydrogen production from algae, this expertise fits in with our existing genetic improvement, fermentation and engineering technologies. This will further our ability to custom design and economically produce omega 3's and other nutritional oils to customer specifications," said Gerri Greenham, President and CEO of Solarvest.
